REPS Audit Ready is a record-keeping platform for people working toward Real Estate Professional Status. The mobile and web apps give them one place to record their time, travel, properties, activities, notes, and supporting files.
The product does not replace professional tax advice. It helps users keep better records during the year and hand those records to a tax professional when it is time to file.
The challenge
Real Estate Professional Status comes with strict IRS tests. Taxpayers need records of how long they worked, what they did, when they did it, and which property the work involved. Trying to reconstruct those details months later leaves room for gaps and guesswork.
Real estate work rarely happens at a desk. A landlord might inspect a property, pick up supplies, answer a tenant, and handle paperwork in the same day. The hours, mileage, receipts, photos, and notes from that work often land in different calendars, spreadsheets, notebooks, and phones. By tax season, piecing it all together is tedious, and some of the context is gone.
Users also need to know where they stand before the year is over. A long list of entries does not quickly show whether someone is on pace for an annual hour goal or how their work breaks down by property and activity.
Our solution
We built REPS Audit Ready for quick capture in the field and more detailed review on a desktop. In the mobile app, users can run a timer, add past work, track mileage with GPS assistance, and attach notes, photos, or files while they still remember the details. Every entry is tied to a property and activity type.
The dashboard adds up those entries and shows progress toward the annual hour goal, including the pace needed for the rest of the year. Couples and small teams can work from the same account with separate seats.
Users can export a selected date range as a PDF or CSV. Instead of rebuilding a year's worth of activity at the deadline, they can send their tax professional records that have been organized all along.
